⚠️Problem statement
Despite the growing interest in fitness and group sports, there is a gap for a centralized platform to facilitate it. Currently, users are forced to navigate through confusion when booking a sports venue, search for players to fill in their teams, and go through social media deep-dives to discover local sports events.
This lack of a unified platform creates high friction, leading to underutilized venues and missed opportunities for community engagement.
🎯Solution
Create an app to be the definitive "all-in-one" digital home for sports enthusiasts. By bridging the gap between facility management and player communities, the app transforms a multi-step manual chore into a seamless mobile experience.
Unified Booking : An intuitive interface to discover, filter, and instantly book sports venues based on real-time availability.
The "Join a Game" Lobby: Connecting individuals with teams in need of a roster boost.
Event Discovery : A curated feed for local athletic events eg. marathons, cycling, skating etc.

Final Reflections
Designing Pitcher as my first complete mobile app project was a transformative experience in moving from visual design to true product thinking. Building an ecosystem from scratch challenged me to map out complex user journeys by balancing the functional needs of venue booking with the social dynamics of finding teammates.
This project served as my foundation for understanding Information Architecture and the importance of a cohesive Design System. I'm excited to carry these learnings forward, focusing on designs rooted in solving user pain points.
